At the end of 2025, Netflix premiered the final season of “Stranger Things,” a series that was a complete success on the platform and became a global phenomenon. A few weeks ago, the same platform premiered an animated series titled “Stranger Things: Tales From ’85”with which we want to keep history alive and from another perspective.
“Stranger Things: Tales From ’85” officially premiered on Netflix on April 23 and now it has been confirmed that the project has been renewed for a second season. The story told in this animated series occurs between the second and third seasons of the true action series starring Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp and Sadie Sink.
None of the actors who started “Stranger Things” in 2016 are part of this animated series, not even the story has included the work of its creators: Matt and Ross Duffer; However, they do appear in the project as executive producers.
“Stranger Things: Tales From ’85” was created by Eric Robles and Jennifer MuroRobles is a veteran of the animation sector who in the past has developed projects such as “Glitch Techs” (2020) and “Fanboy & Chum Chum” (2009).
On the other hand, Muro is a screenwriter who has been part of the writing team for “Star Wars Forces of Future”, “Justice League Action” and “Story of Severe Position”.
For now, it has not been revealed how this animated story will follow the lives of the inhabitants of Hawkins and it is not known what its release date will be.
