He Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a new public health alert due to a possible Salmonella risk that affects several brands of frozen pizzasincluding aldi and Walmartas well as popular pork snacks. The information, officially published on its website, details that the problem originated in dairy ingredients (specifically powdered milk) that could be contaminated.
This measure comes after an update on May 1, after the FDA will notify the FSIS that various processing establishments received these regulated inputs. What happens when you consume food contaminated with Salmonella?
