A second plane, traveling to the same tournament, managed to land without problems. According to reports, the aircraft was flying erratically before falling amid cloud cover and vibrations.
This activated an emergency signal, which helped locate the impact site. Witnesses heard a roar and felt vibrations in their homes. The plane was completely destroyed and suffered a fire after the impact.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and researchers from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) They undertook the investigation to determine the exact cause.
