We live in a time where success is usually measured in more income, property, recognition or expansion… And here, although material prosperity represents effort and construction capacity, it is also a legitimate expression of the human desire to grow and leave a mark. The challenge appears when we forget that all external wealth needs an internal root that gives it meaning.
This week, a worldwide report reveals that the number of billionaires in the world could go from 3,100 to nearly 4,000 in the next five years, which reflects not only the growth of large assets, but also a profound transformation in the way the world concentrates value and I feel that, beyond the economic data, this news invites us to a more intimate reflection, because when we manage to build so much outside, it is worth asking ourselves: What are we strengthening within ourselves?
Because material aerial abundance finds its greatest strength when it is accompanied by consciousness. Having resources, building wealth and aspiring to a prosperous life can be a deeply valuable form of expansion when it is born from purpose and not solely from the need to fill invisible voids. The question is not how much we have, but the relationship we build with it.
There are people who turn their success into a platform to serve, inspire and transform, understanding that wealth can also be a way to honor the gifts received. But there are also those who discover, in the midst of great achievements, that peace is still a pending conversation with themselves.
Therefore, perhaps the real challenge is to understand why we want what we pursue, because when economic growth goes hand in hand with non-public coherence, a much more complete prosperity appears and the soul finds fulfillment when what we build reflects what we truly value.
I do not doubt at any time, and I say it in all possible scenarios, that the most powerful prosperity is expressed when we can enjoy what we have achieved without losing our essence and thanks to this we live with the tranquility of sleeping in peace, in the freedom to choose from conscience, in the possibility of sharing from gratitude and in the certainty of knowing that our growth also generates well-being around us.
Perhaps true abundance consists in ensuring that what we build on the outside fully honors who we are on the inside, because, in the end, existence always returns to us the same question: what did we do with what we received. And perhaps there appears the highest form of wealth and it is the one that not only transforms a bank account, but also the mark we leave in the world.
God is love, let a miracle happen.
