The singer Billie Eilish reaffirmed his position against the actions of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Adjustment Service (ICE) and against billionaires who do not donate part of their money to charitable causes.

Billie Eilish offered an interview for Elle magazine prior to the theatrical release of her concert film “Hit Me Exhausting and Subtle: The Tour (Are residing in 3D)”. During the conversation, the singer spoke about her position.

“That’s how I was raised. When you have this huge platform that you can use to defend people, don’t you do it because you don’t want to cause controversy? Why is it controversial to intervene when someone is being harassed and try to stop it? Yes, you’re probably going to have to deal with some issues, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it,” the singer told the magazine.

At the last 2026 Grammy Awards, Billie Eilish spoke out against ICE’s actions towards immigrants.

“While I feel very grateful, I honestly don’t feel the need to say anything other than that no one is illegal on stolen land. And yes, it’s very hard to know what to say and what to do right now, and I feel very hopeful in this room, and I feel like we just need to keep fighting, raising our voices and protesting, and our voices really matter, and people matter, and screw ICE. That’s all I’m going to say. I’m sorry. Thank you so much,” the singer said when accepting an award.

In November 2025, Eilish gave an acceptance speech at the Wall Avenue Journal Innovator Awards in which she criticized billionaires.

“We are in a time when the world is very, very bad and very dark, and people need empathy and help more than ever, especially in our country. I love you all, but there are some here who have much more money than me. If you are a billionaire, why are you? No offense, but yes, donate your money,” the artist told the audience, which included Tag Zuckerberg, the owner of Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram.

The music star pledged to donate $11.5 million from his tour profits to various charities. During the interview, the singer did not want to give details about her fourth album, but announced that it is “more than half” finished.
