SAN JUAN – Three Venezuelans were arrested with a stash of 643 kilograms of cocaine when his boat was intercepted in Puerto Rican watersas reported this Monday by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office on the island.
A Customs and Border Protection (CBP) aircraft detected in the southeast of Puerto Rico the vessel, which was described as a boat with two outboard motors.
On board it, they were observed several containers of flammable and alleged contraband merchandiseso the CBP agents proceeded to fire two warning shots and intercept the boat.
The detainees were identified as Charlie G. Marval Henríquez, Jhoan A. Rodríguez Núñez and Josué A. Rodríguez Núñezall of them Venezuelan citizens who were on board the vessel.
The agents discovered several packages of cocaine hidden in 20 fuel drumsaccording to the statement.
The three occupants of the boat were accused, according to a criminal complaint, of possession with intent to distribute and importation of cocaine.
