Iran’s armed forces reported this Monday that they managed to prevent the entry of destroyers belonging to the United States and Israel in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to an official statement from the Army’s public relations, shared by the Tasnim agency, the maneuver was carried out through a quick and forceful warning from the Naval Force, and prevented foreign ships from entering the maritime area controlled by Tehran.

The commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Unified Operations Command, Major Ali Abdolahi, confirmed the attack posture against any force attempting to cross the strategic pass.

“We warn that any foreign armed force, especially the aggressive US military, will be the target of our attacks if they attempt to approach or enter the Strait of Hormuz.”Abdolahi said in statements collected by EFE.

Mandatory coordination for commercial transit

Given the instability in the area, the military high command issued direct instructions for civil and oil navigation. In this sense, Primary Abdolahi demanded that all commercial vessels and oil tankers refrain from any attempt to transit without coordination with the Armed Forces deployed in the Strait of Hormuz.so that your security is not compromised.

According to the military chief, the Trump administration’s initiatives to “alter the current situation will have no other result than to further complicate the scenario and put the safety of the vessels in this area at risk.”

The military deployment of Project Freedom

Iran’s response comes after President Donald Trump reported in Truth Social about the launch of Operation Project Freedom. The military mission includes the mobilization of more than 100 aircraft, naval destroyers and drones, in addition to a contingent of 15,000 soldiers.

The main objective is to free the vessels that have been trapped by the Iranian blockade after requests for help from various governments. The conflict in the area has continued since February 28, the date hostilities broke out, followed by a United States naval blockade applied to Iranian ports since April 13.
