Those who walked through some Latin areas of Los Angeles This weekend they came across a scene they did not expect. Selena Gomez and Becky G recording together, surrounded by a small technical team and with the energy of those who are building something.
The coincidence was ruled out in minutes. The two were fully involved in what appears to be the filming of a video clip that feeds the theory of a song on the way, possibly titled “EPA.”
This caught attention because of the purity of the moment. Between laughter, dance steps and a relaxed atmosphere, they showed that the chemistry existed before any announcement was official. Nothing is confirmed by them, but the images that circulated on social networks did the job in advance.
Two trajectories that intersect with Latin rhythm
Selena Gomez has been following its connection with Spanish for some time, especially since the launch of “Revelación”, the EP in which “Baila Conmigo” was includedhis collaboration with Rauw Alejandro. Becky Gfor its part, has built a solid career within the urban genre, remaining a constant presence in contemporary Latin music.
Both share Mexican roots and a firm footing in the Anglo-Saxon market, which makes this union an almost pure step for two voices that know well how to move between both worlds.
The expectation is not only fueled by its popularity, but by the possibility of a song that connects with diverse audiences with an urban, direct sound designed to become essential on global playlists.
A video clip that raised suspicions and emotion
Videos captured by fans show Gomez and Becky G dancing, lip syncing and following directions from the recording crew. In several shots it also appears Benny BlancoSelena’s husband, who accompanied part of the day.
Among those leaked recordings, a fragment stands out where Becky G interprets the line: “I made myself pretty so you could tell me uh.”
If the title is finally “EPA”, it would not be surprising if the song seeks an immediate impact on digital platforms and ends up positioning itself as one of those inevitable summer pieces.
