The New York Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles 12-1 to complete the four-game sweep at Yankee Stadium.

The Bronx Bombers achieved their 14th victory in the last 16 games in an emotional game in tribute to John Sterling, Yankees announcer for 36 years.

The New York team reaches 24 wins and 11 losses, first in the East Division of the American League, with a lead of 1.5 games over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Aaron Judge leads Yankees to victory with 14th home run of the season

Judge opened the scoring for the Yankees in the first inning with his 14th home run of the season, which puts him tied for the lead in the Major Leagues with Japan’s Munetaka Murakami.

Trent Grisham scored the third run of the game on Cody Bellinger’s sacrifice fly. The Yankees once again relied on a good start from Cam Schlittler.

The right-hander was not as dominant as in his previous starts, but his defense helped him out of several situations against the Baltimore offense.

Schlittler finished with 5.2 innings of work, receiving 7 hits, 1 earned run, 3 walks, 4 strikeouts and 95 pitches. The pitcher achieved his fifth victory of the season and left a 5-1 record.

The Yankees offense managed to score three more runs in the sixth inning and managed to score six more runs in the eighth inning.

Aaron Judge drove in two more runs with a single and Cody Bellinger, who is having a good last week, hit a triple to bring in two more runs.

Jason Domínguez brought in the last run in that eighth inning to make the lead 12-1 with just three outs for the victory.

The Yankees begin a three-game series against the Texas Rangers at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday.
