Few Latin American bands allow themselves to play with so many sonic colors and still maintain such a recognizable identity. Monsieur Perine proves it again with his new album, “Instructions to be happy”a work of 19 songs which opens a different stage in his career and which appears through 5020 Records.
The album, produced by Fux Beat, moves between pop, Caribbean rhythms and alternative nuances that the band has worked on since its beginnings. The central idea vibrates around happiness, affective memory and the human connections that shape our experiences. Everything feels close, warm and with an energy that invites you to breathe slowly and enjoy the moment.
The project brings together beloved and diverse voices such as Carlos Vives, PJ Sin Suela, Piso 21, Juliana, Luísa Sonza, Bebo Dumont, Jossman and Bejuco. Each collaboration opens a different door within the album, allowing the sound to expand without abandoning the essence of the group.
An emotional journey with new alliances
The launch is accompanied by the official video of “Puree”its focal level computer screen together with Rawayana. The visible was recorded a few days ago in the Movistar Arena of Bogotá during a relaxed meeting between friends.
One of the most special details of the project is in “Happiness (Interlude)”a piece inspired by Gabriel Garcia Marquez which includes a fragment in the voice of the Colombian author himself, a literary bridge with Latin American roots from the album that seeks to connect emotion, memory and creation.
The band talks about this important stage
Catalina Garcia represent this moment with absolute sincerity: “This album is a tribute to the creative act. We are all the work of a great creator and, at the same time, we have the ability to create through our actions. That’s where I found my own instructions to be happy.”
For its part, Santiago Prieto He also shared his view on the process behind these songs: “This is our fifth studio album and It is, without a doubt, for me, the most challenging album we have made after spending almost two decades together making music with Cata. Each album we have made has been a creative challenge in which we push the limits, break the molds, avoid repetition, and blur our own borders.”
Monsieur Periné returns with a work that breathes freedom and emotion. The rest will be discovered by each fan when they press play.
