By The Diary

Minnesota GovernorTim Walz, became embroiled in controversy after he attempted to take credit for the federal fraud raids carried out on Tuesday in the state, as he had previously called the investigations into fraud as part of “white supremacy,” surprised many by pointing out that the raids were carried out thanks to the cooperation between state and federal agencieswhich was criticized and questioned by Kash Pateldirector of the FBI.

Walz highlighted in his X account that the raids were possible because state agencies detected “irregular behavior” and reported it.

“SIf you commit fraud in Minnesota, you will get caught.”he stated, highlighting the importance of collaboration between security agencies. “Joint investigations work, and justice depends on them,” he added.

FBI reacts to Walz’s statements

However, this statement provoked a quick response from the FBI Director Kash Patel.

“How? The FBI and the Department of Justice, along with our partners at DHS, drafted and executed all the search warrants today. But go ahead and take credit for our work while we uncover the fraud plaguing Minnesota on your watch,” Patel highlighted in a thread on the X social network.

Near but again? This FBI and DOJ with our DHS partners drafted and completed every search warrant this day. But plod forward and take credit for our work while we smoke out the fraud plaguing Minnesota below your governorship. https://t.co/HczInx5sZm

Walz asks to investigate murder of Alex Pretti and Renee Honest

However, he also took the opportunity to call for an investigation. the murder of two Minnesota citizens at the hands of federal immigration agents earlier this year.

“Let us now work on a joint investigation into the murders of Alex Pretti and Renee Honest, instead of selecting only the cases in which we seek justice and in which we turn a blind eye”Walz said, referring to the murders of citizens.

DHS reacts to Walz’s statements

For its part, Markwayne Mullinnewly appointed head of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), also joined the criticism of Walz.

“You don’t have none credibility on this topic. You have deliberately ignored and minimized widespread fraud and abuse in Minnesota. This crackdown on fraud has come about thanks to President Trump’s leadership. We will hold accountable those who steal from Americans,” Mullin wrote on his X account.
