The biographical film of “Michael” quickly became a global success, being the biopic with the highest grossing in its international premiere at the box office with $217 million and what many do not know is that the interpreter of Michael Jackson has Colombian roots.
Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s nephew, surprised by his incredible natural resemblance and his artistic skillsalthough it is not the first time he has acted (yes in the cinema). In addition to that, another surprise is that the mother of the young actor who rose to stardom with this film is Colombian.
Jaafar Jackson and his Colombian heritage
This is Alejandra Jackson, a businesswoman, fashion designer and philanthropist born in Bogotá. Alejandra married Michael’s brother Jermaine in 1995 and in addition to Jaafar, they had another son named Jermajesty. They also adopted a child later, whose name is Donte.

The curious tree that Alejandra, Jaafar’s mother, created
Alejandra, the Colombian who went to live in California at the age of 11, is the protagonist of a curious case, after having five children (including Donte): with two brothers of Michael Jackson.
This is because the designer first had a relationship with Randy Jackson, with whom she had her first two children: Genevieve and Randy Jr. Then they separated in 1993 and two years later she married Jermaine, with whom she was married for 13 years and from there emerged: Jaafar, Jermajesty and Donte. Some people call these five brothers the “Colombian Jacksons,” because of their mother’s Bogotá roots.
The truth is that the new “Michael” after how successful this film is, has Latin roots and everything seems to indicate that his career in the cinematographic world is just beginning, due to the thousands of praises he is receiving after playing his uncle, Michael.
